At Reeds Brook, grades six through eight are on a mod rotation. The classes meet four times a week for approximately six consecutive weeks (24 days) in 45 minute sessions. The class size ranges from 18-26 student. This mod is offered to all students once a year. The curriculum is sequential and exploratory. Students in art mod are introduce to the vocabulary of art using a variety of media.

Art mod learning Goals are the same for all three years. The students begin working on the goals in sixth grade and are expected to demonstrate proficiency by eight grade.

The standards we address are in 2 and 3 d media, Elements and Principles of Art and Aesthetics and Critique.
